Toronto, Ontario. My crew and I are taking the greyhound to Portland... aaaall 24 hours of it. I posted this question in another board but wasn't sure if it's the right one, does anybody have any idea how to get from Portland to the fairgrounds? Perhaps a secret bus of sorts? I've exhausted google, thought you guys may have some travel tips...

Wow, it's nice to see so many people from all stretches making the trip to our small town! I live about fifteen minutes away (about 10 miles). I'm hoping to be able to make the show, this is one of the biggest deals since the Dead played in Oxford in 1988. I really encourage all of you to plan for some serious travel delays... the access roads to the fair grounds aren't right on major state roads, they're off of a couple smaller town roads. Fearless, to try to answer your question there is no secret bus, or any form of mass transport unfortunately One of the bummers about living up here in rural Maine is that public transportation leaves much to be desired. Your best bet is to either line up a rental car in Portland or to work out a carpool. Unless of course that mention of shuttling from the hotels in your other thread pans out. Actually Nateva will have a shuttle running from both Hotels that they are running deals at in Portland. Im sure you could hop on one of those w/o much stress

Prince Edward Island, Canada! The 10-ish hour drive is nothing compared to the 15 hours to All Points West, 30 to Bonnaroo, or the long flight to Rothbury.
We've got a crew of at least a dozen from the Island, and at least another ten from the other Maritime provinces... representin' East Coast Canada! See y'all there!

I haven't spoken it for years, since there's no one around here to practice with. Maybe I'll hit you up for a French speaking practice session. Although be warned - my French is very rusty!!!

Columbus OH here. Actually hoping to find someone to split a ride with, but I'll worry about that closer to the date. I don't mind the long drive, but I don't want to do it alone. We are coming from cleveland. My buddy has never been to the new england are before, so we are going to spend a couple of days around the Boston area then making our way to the fest on thursday.

No idea how many hours that is tho Portland to Oxford is an hour or so, depending on festival traffic (43 miles) if that is what you are wondering. They were doing some work on the road earlier in the year. Pretty sure that should be all wrapped up by festy time
