A few things about today, the day the final Nateva lineup was announced:
1 - I planned my day so I could spend the whole day looking over the new lineup. Ranking bands I wanted to see. Marking which bands I had to check out. Seeing which bands I have already seen before. As a teacher I was able to alter my lesson plans to give me a little more "deep thought" time. And the kids still had the nerve to ask questions!
2 - Maybe it's cynical, but always love watching the people that complain because the lineup didn't turn out to be exactly what they wanted. On Facebook there area a bunch of people with the universally recognized whiners cry of "I have tickets for sale". It cracks me up that people get their hopes up so much for certain bands that they can't get passed them not being on the bill. Or that people get so upset about expectations that were never promised in the first place.
So now begins the long, agonizing wait. Up until now the wait was always about today, the new lineup. Now the wait becomes the wait for setting up camp and having nothing to do for four days but listen to music, drink beer, play Baggo, and get my hands on whatever else little bit of fun comes my way.
Nateva, thanks!

I agree about the expectation factor. I don't think I could be more pleased with the WHOLE lineup. So many festivals have alot of the same bands, which I was kinda dreading would happen w/ this one. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! I've seen a couple of the bands that were added, but not so much that I don't want to see them again, and some of them I'm really looking forward to seeing for the first time. So let the whiners whine and sell their tickets and leave the negative vibes somewhere else.

Its a hybrid of horse-shoes and golf with what amounts to a big ass hacky sack, typically enjoyed with frosty beverages and it = solid fun

Hunt me down when you're there. I love when random people come up for a game.
