Just wondering what to expect on Thursday if you arrive early and pay the 20 bucks a car. Whats going to go on? Is it just to arrive and set up camp for the night or will there be a Thursday night show. I know All Good let you go set up camp and then had a late night show after everyone set up.

The best part of the first night of any festival is finding that one guy that jusy way way way over did the partying. There's always one guy that decided the first night is the night to go overboard.
A few years ago at Gathering of the Vibes we're kicking back watching Dark Star Orchestra when we notice a guy standing completely naked watching the band. He wasn't bothering anyone or acting weird in any way. As much as I don't enjoy looking at naked guys, it's one of those things you can't help but watch. So a security guard came over and tried to talk the guy into going with him. Well, nudie wasn't budging. Wasn't talking either so it became clear he was enhanced by something. Mentally enhanced, not viagrally enhanced. So about 2-3 more guards come over. They were handling it perfectly, trying to talk to him instead of just forcing him out. Next thing we know dude is straight up just pissing. The guards jumped out of the way and again handled it great. Some other fans came over and talked to the guy and he eventually went with them. I will never understand how that could happen on the first night of a fest. I'm all for partying, but with three more days to go my first night is always tame, or at least much more tame than that guy's.

Oh yeah, forgot to say, don't miss the first night if you can help it. Getting there the first day and watching the place come alive is a treat. After that it's always thousands of people flowing all over the place. But watching it all come alive is one of my favorite parts.

I always loved getting to a festival, setting up and just watching it start to fill up around you! It's so cool. |

Haha, I was that guy at Rothbury last year. I wasn't the naked dude, but I WAY overdid it. The Sherwood Forest will do it to ya. Ha.

Okay, I think we're all grateful that there is no "sherwood forest" at Nateva after that last post (unles you are of the female persuasion) but I too agree, the first day of a fest is special!
Incidentally, if you are of the female persuasion and feel the need to remove your clothes, there will be many people there to support you in your public statement. Count me in!

Hey all ... just a quick question ... i am VIP Camping ... but want to come in on Thursday. How do I go about this? Am I too late? I am so excited I could throw-up!! This is what is getting me through the last daze of school with my kids. I am going with 2 of my best girl friends ... no children ... I WANT TO START EARLY ... PROMISE NOT TO GET NAKED UNTIL THE SECOND NIGHT ... LMAO!!
