Dude go to the festival. You'll make a ton of friends there and it wont matter so much that your friends couldnt make it. I am sure you could find someone in Oxford or Portland to ride in with you as well. You dont wanna miss this
EDIT: dudette that is

I agree with Dexxy on this. I have met tons of solo-festgoers at fests over the years and they always end up having a great time. Chances are you'll latch onto your neighbors within the first 30 seconds of them seeing your there alone.

I'm a teenager as well. My dad is tagging along with me to Nateva. I have learned to get over the embarrassment of having my dad follow me around because he loves jam bands almost as much as I do. It also makes for some quality father+son time. That said, I understand that not every parent likes jam band music and not every teenager enjoys having their parent following them during a festival. The thing to remember is that there will always be festivals to go to when you're older.

It's okay to be nervous, going alone to a festival as a teenage girl. It's not likely that anything bad would happen to you, but it is always better to feel safe when with friends or a group of people you know and trust. The 9+ hour drive sucks.....I have to go about 7 hours from Long Island, so I feel your pain. Hopefully you can get this sorted out if you definitely aren't going to go. You may be able to find someone to buy it.

Weekend passes with camping will be sold out it in a couple of days and then you'll be able to sell it for what you paid for - no problem. Then pick a friend to join you at the show and pick your favorite day of music. Buy one day ticket each, arrive the night before and stay at the Speedway 3 miles down the road, Take our free shuttle over to the Fairgrounds first thing in the morning and catch an amazing day of music. Then stay at the Speedway again in your tent. The total cost for your ticket and 2 days of camping, parking and partying is $89. See you there.
