I figure since the Flips always bring the crazy we should try to get together a bunch of folks and get all dressed up. A bunch of people all in crazy costumes always livens up a festival. When in costume you go from being another one of the many attendees to becoming an actual part of the festival entertainment. It will always be a memory that will make you smile AND other ppl love this kind of stuff! Anyone else down for this? Maybe we all could meet up somewhere towards the back of the mainstage field at the beginning of the STS9 set, 8:30ish.
I will have a HuGE flowing, yellow and red clown suit on. I also have a quality Rooster head mask that I wear with it and/or my red and black velvet jester hat on. Obviously I will be draped in glow and trip toys.
Thoughts? Ideas? What will you be wearing?!
EDIT: Would anyone be down to start hunting for cheap blow-up animals, like the large pool toy type things. We could get those all blown up and start throwing them around during the show. It would look pretty kool if we got a whole zoo worth of animals bouncing around

Ever since seeing these, I've wanted to get a pair to walk around in at festivals. They're crazy expensive though. They also have fur leg coverings that you can get with them... would blow peoples minds though.

nice, idioteque...just started getting into EL wire hobbying myself all the walking bends the wire and it's now riddled with shorts and needs to be replaced. in fact, so do the shoes. it took a lot of trial and error to figure out the right way to glue the wire to the shoe... every glue I tried would not stick to the wire, only the shoe. and now the shoes are pretty beat from having so much glue all over them. just need to find a comfortable shoe for cheap, preferably all black. solution ends up being silicone - like you would use to caulk a sink that an a lot of rubber bands to hold it all in place while drying. www.glowhut.com is who i used

I'm still looking for a costume for the lips concert but you might recognize me with this logo on my t-shirt during the week-end. Uploaded with ImageShack.usIt's my band signature.

I'm thinking I'm going to throw some of my tribal belly dance costuming stuff into the car for the Lips. Sounds like fun. I'll probably have extra stuff if anyone needs some earthy jingle-jangles for wandering.

Obviously I will be draped in glow and trip toys. You say a Rooster head mask and./OR your red and black velvet jester hat? If you decide on the jester hat, could I use the rooster head mask? Rooster's been my insignia for years and I'd love to jump in with the chaos!
