Good shiznit, man. Too bad his accordion was crapping out on him during the daytime set. yea that'll happen. They really are pretty low budget and rootsy and don't have a lot of fancy equipment. For a while they were playing with a cymbal with a big chip in it.......sort of the appeal I guess....but a 100% working accordion would be nice lol.

Ha ha yeah I saw the washboard hit that took that crash out and just flinched. Plus ten for stage presence but minus 9 for equipment abuse.

Went in hoping to be impressed since you've been hyping them up for weeks, but was really disappointed. They seemed a little better in a late night scenario... but they were pretty meh, imo. Couldn't get into the main guys voice at all.
Glad other people liked it though. ;D

Gotta admit, didn't really get into them. However, they did have the best lyric of the entire weekend.
"Powder your nose pull off your panty hose let me love you from behind my darlin"
I had to hear that three times before I could believe what they were saying. My buddy and I were waiting (I think for UM) and we were laughing our arses off!

Damn you all. Oh well. Maybe you gotta catch them where they really shine - in dark bars and full of some alcohol. Different strokes for different folks. I'm a huge fan but I also really dig the whole folk/rock/country/americana scene and I've gone deep into their songs and know the meanings and stories behind most of their stuff....so i'm a bit of a fanatic I guess. Seeing them this Saturday in town.
Yea Mojo....that line is from Ballad of Lou the Welterweight....a great song about a boxer.

ITM, your enthusiasm about them caused me to download Yonder is the Clock and something Arizona... I didn't get too into the albums before Nateva (really loved some individual songs), but their night set blew me away... their passion, their musicality, my altered brain chemistry all made for one of the most amazing shows that weekend. Thanks for persisting!

My wife and I were just in front of you to the right a ways. Just outside of the video. We loved the set. Old fashioned boot stompin music. I got the feeling they would play the same in front of 10 people or 10000 =)

Then there tranny blew up in there RV. What a sight beat up old RV towing a beat up old trailer. Show was supposed to start at 7:30, first song didnt start till 11:30. Front row, one of the best shows ever!!

You could literally walk as close as you wanted at any time. Great, raucous show, though the PA system in the Space gallery leaves something to be desired. You could tell the band was not loving all the feedback from the monitors. All in all though it was a great show. Whiskey in my Whiskey was amazing.

My wife and I ended up side stage for most of it. Tall guy with a beard and shaved head. Drunk tall guy with a beard and shaved head... lol Was drinking whiskey as a pregame. I was singing whiskey in my whiskey all night before the show. =)
