Hello I realize you are logistically months away from the fest, but I was curious if thought has been given as to how to provide availability of family camping? Might we need to request a "pass" or something in advance, or just state our preference at the gate? Thanks for your thoughts.

Seeing as this is at least the third question regarding family camping I figured I'd post the other two so that when an official from Nateva can answer this they will have all the questions that were asked. I was wondering if there was going to be a specific family camping area? Will it be on site or satellite? Will there be special passes to stay there? I've been going to a festival in CT for the past few years, and what went on in the family area last year has turned me off from wanting to bring my nieces. Someone was selling nitrous near us and someone who was completely spun actually put there head into my car to wake up the 9 year old girl sleeping... So, I'm just curious what kind of things, if any, will be in place to ensure families can have a blast and not worry about the sketch factor. I posted about this topic again in my own thread hoping to get an in depth answer. So far all I have received from admins is literally a copy of what the official website already says. I know what the website says already having read the entire thing. I am trying really hard to get in contact with someone who can actually give me a real answer. I don't know why it is getting so difficult. I have emailed Nateva at least 5 times receiving only 2 replies both of which direct me back to the main website!! This is getting totally ridiculous, there is NOT ONE NUMBER I can call to get the info I am looking for. I want to know specifically do you need to sign up (like many other festivals) in advance to get a spot in family camping or do you just show up and say to the person parking you, "hey I would like to be in family camping"....This is really important to my wife and I as we will be bringing our baby who will be about a year old. Can someone actually help or am I going to get another redirect to information that I have already read? Also why was my own posting about this locked so I couldn't reply back? Thanks. Hopefully you get your answers soon.

With regard to Family Camping Areas, much thought has been given to the situation. We don't have all the answers, but we all have families and little kids, and we're all bringing them to Maine this summer. We will have a family area on site at the Fairgrounds and another one at the Satellite Camping area. To access the Family Area you need to request it upon arrival and you will be directed based on whether you bought on site camping or satellite camping at the time of purchase. To camp in the Family Area you need to have at least one child with you age 16 or under. You also need to to agree to abide by the Family Camping Rules. What are the rules...? If you need to ask, you shouldn't be in the Family Area to start with. We expect anybody that chooses to camp in the Family Camping Area to behave appropriately, or they will be removed. If you see anybody selling nitrous or drugs you should reach out to a security person or call the security hotline from your cellphone. The number will be listed in the festival program. People selling nitrous and/or other illegal substances will be removed, arrested and then we'll tow their car or truck. They may make bail before the end of the weekend, but the tow guys, Daryl, Daryl and Daryl won't give them their car back until the event is over. In the Family Area, outside the Family Area.... We won't tolerate a single tank of nitrous inside the venue or inside any of our camping areas. We will do the best that we can to provide a safe and respectful environment for you and your kids, but in the end, your kids rely on you to make good decisions regarding their welfare. We remind you that this is an adult event and we do not offer babysitting services. We will do our best, within reason, to make this a great event for you and your kids.
