Yeah, if Rothbury comes back in full force next year, I can't imagine Nateva pulling me away from it... even as pumped as I am for this fest. Rothbury was just one of the best weekends of my life, hands down. The people, the atmosphere, the music... so amazing.
And those three would be amazing headliners. I just miss the forest sooooooooooooo much.

Yea if Rothbury happens in 2011 we will def be there. Even if Nateva is amazing as it seems to be shaping up, Rothbury is a must go. I was thinking though, that Rothbury will most likely be the week before 4th of July weekend. This means that attending both could be quite possible. If Rothbury and Nateva both have a festival in 2011 and would end up on the same weekend i believe Frank(Nateva) would change the dates of the festival to better accommodate. Either way im getting the vibe that 2011 will be a huge year for festivals.

If they were on the same weekend it would be a tough choice for me. Of course this is assuming that there will be a second Nateva festival (which isn't guaranteed yet). I intend on going to Bonnaroo next year. It's the 10th anniversary and I expect the lineup to be stacked. But we'll see. I would love to do Rothbury but if it's the same time as Nateva then it will have to come down to money and the lineups. Traveling to Nateva takes about half the time it would for Rothbury so that's a plus for Nateva. It's too hard to judge at this point because nobody has been to Nateva and so we don't know how awesome it will (or won't) be. |

I'm not doubting you....just curious The owners of the JJ wanted to use the "resort" for other things on the weekend of the 4th. They felt that they could make more money leaving the resort open to tourists rather than hosting a festival |

As Dexxy mention, whether Rothbury was in 2010 or not, for 2011 they will hold the festival the weekend before the 4th. Gives them (JJ Ranch) two weekends back to back to bring in some serious dollar signs.

Can't wait for Rothbury. I already totally like the idea of Nateva, but I left my heart in Sherwood Forest.

I went to Roth last year and while it did kick serious butt, I'm super pumped to see what Nateva has in store. I've been doing super sized festies for years now, and I can't wait to go to Nateva; smaller but with a stacked lineup!
