Yeah this was a great performance!! i love when the roots do covers and captain kirk is a boss. I wish that weir had more time but i think robert randolph and the roots playing purple haze more than made up for that.

Nice pics!!! Bob's set was short but sweet. The acoustic Throwing Stones was really good, I thought...

Definitely funkier w/ The Roots backing...and we mostly got "all the hits" due to short set times, but the performances were nearly flawless. I was quite impressed by Sting's voice...he can still hit the high notes...Message in a Bottle ain't so easy to sing. Joss was also awesome...lots of energy...and she was the most excited to share the stage with so many legends. Booker T was smooth and cool, but you could tell he was digging it! This was MUCH larger than Earth Day last year...though I was stoked to see The Flaming Lips...and they got about an hour playtime. The Lips are gonna RIP IT UP at Nateva! Watch out for their costume crew if you wanna dance on stage...they recruit people from the crowd about an hour before set time. I hope they get a good amount of set time since their theatrics take a lot of work to set up.
