BIG MONEY!!!!??!!!?!!!
Really Glad to see Lettuce for a hearty dosage of Funk. Also happy to see Roots of Creation, who in my opinion are really tight and up and coming.
All in all, I am digging this lineup

Very nice additions. Very nice indeed.
This adds a bunch of bands I'm excited to see, and a whole lot of bands I need to learn before July. And to think I was happy with what was already known.

So the "like" on Nateva's Facebook that said Crash Kings wasn't correct?
And all that talk of Barefoot Truth being there was wrong also?

So the "like" on Nateva's Facebook that said Crash Kings wasn't correct? And all that talk of Barefoot Truth being there was wrong also? not sure about the Crash Kings. As for Barefoot Truth....the rumors started from someone who talked to the band and they said that they were close to finalizing a deal with Nateva. I guess some things fell through since it appears they aren't on the lineup. here's where it got started: News on an addition to the lineup!!! I just saw the band Barefoot Truth in DC at a really intimate 40-50 person venue (which is kind of disappointing since they can fill 400 person venues up in Boston). Anyway, after the show I was talking to the band and we got around to talking about their summer tour/summer festivals. 3 of the band members told me that Nateva was extremely likely, one of the other members mentioned that they are also talking to All Good, and one member said they are definitely playing Nateva. Sorry I have no source on this you'll have to just take my word, but in my opinion they are in the process of booking with Nateva but haven't reached a final deal yet so they are likely to be there but not guaranteed.

I like Greensky Bluegrass and Toubab Krewe, interested in hearing John Brown's Body, Ghostland, and a lot of that indie stuff. I was hoping for a few "big name" jam band adds, but I'm not surprised that they didn't really have that. What a great lineup for a relatively small festival though!

Yea the Jam (or jam-like) bands in the additions weren't too plentiful. There are plenty of acts who could be considered jam bands as well as fit other descriptions. Mark Karan will jam out I assume, and Jackie Greene has played with the dead....hope to see him join Furthur on stage and jam out. I believe the Kind Buds are jammy also.....i'm sure there are more that I just don't know about. Plus, we already got moe., furthur, umphrey's, keller, sts9.....the whole top of the bill is basically jam bands. So i'm excited either way.
Really looking forward to Ghostland Observatory, Toubab Krewe, Jackie Greene. Also heard many great things about many of the smaller bands (The Brew, The McLovins, Roots of Creation).
Definitely a solid lineup.

I'm not too high on these additions. Never heard of most of them. Not really what I was expecting, thats just me. Lineup was solid to begin with anyways...

A lot of the lower bands I don't really know either....but that's half the fun of going to a festival. So many choices and chances to see new bands that could become favorites of yours. Hopefully we'll be able to discuss most of the bands and introduce each other to great songs/performances about all the bands. We have 65 days to do some homework on all the bands that we don't know.

if this is real, slightly disappointed. EOTO is huge, toubab, big gigantic, jackie greene, lettuce are great news, interested to see ghostland and roots of creation, however nothing else really impresses me, and indobox is god awful.

I think a lot of the lower tier/lesser known bands are more local bands to the festival / New England area. They may not be huge in name value but a lot of them have gotten positive review. This is a small festival and will only have a few stages going on so it's not like we need a ton of bands anyway. Should be a fun time no matter what. I'm sure there will be plenty of new bands discovered by people at the festival. So pumped for a Jackie Greene set.

Im afraid so. Hate to admit it, but Nateva "let me down" with this announcement.

Im actually really pumped about these additions. Of course im disappointed that barefoot truth isnt there, but maybe there will be another addition. I've been checking out some of these bands and a lot of them are really sick I'd recommend checking out The Constellations and The Heavy Pets!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBY8fkvHHPYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=vIcdvmKbSW4

Love the new additions. This adds a bunch of variety where before it was almost all jambands (which are my preference). The chance to see some legit indie music excites me. I know a lot of the names here but aren't familiar with their sound so it will be fun to get to know them.
As for all the unknown bands near the end of the lineup, you get that with pretty much any festival. Even the high and mighty Bonnaroo is filled with bands you've never heard of year after year. The thing with the Nateva lineup is that, just like most festivals, the bands that go on earlier in the day will be the lesser known bands and the up-and-comers, and as the day progresses the popular bands will take the stage. It seems like everyone loved the Rothbury lineups, myself included, but I almost never went onto the concert grounds until late afternoon because I was waiting for the bands I knew and wanted to see. This will be no different.
Besides, how many people actually spend the entire day at the stage? Most people want time to wander or want time back at camp. Bands you aren't familiar with give you those breaks.
I for one simply cannot wait.

Half the fun of a festival is checking out bands you may have never heard of. I love it when I happen across a band I haven't heard before and fall in love. I haven't heard of a lot of these bands, but am definitely looking forward to checking them out. And introducing my daughter to some new music she otherwise would not have thought to listen to.

Hey VelevetC.....looks like Crash Kings are official. It's on the official Nateva website. Probably just forgot to include it in the facebook adds.

There are some solid lower level adds here for sure and She and Him + DBT are pleasant surprises. Guess I had my hopes too high for Fleet Foxes and Apollo Sunshine (and in a long shot, Mastodon), but whatever... I'd give 'em a "B" for these additions.

I'm pleased with these additions, even if they don't include my beloved MMW. I saw Grizzly Bear open up for Radiohead a few summers ago and they put on a pretty stellar show, and that was before they released Veckatimest. Lettuce is always awesome, though I hope they've added some more songs to their rotation, since I've seen them three or four times in the past year or so and they've played a lot of the same material. She and Him should be a fun set, they have some catchy songs, not to mention the gorgeous Zooey Deschanel. I've youtubed every band I hadn't heard of on the list, and I can't complain, lots of good up and coming talent there. Can't Wait!
