Disappointed with the additions? Whaaaaaat?! Call me crazy, I think these additions are off the hook. Passion Pit is money, Drive-By Truckers are absolutely awesome live and on their studio cuts, I heard and read rave reviews about the Heavy Pets from their moe.down set last year. The McLovins...oh man do those kids bring it. If you haven't heard or seen Lettuce, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Seen them twice and was blown away each time. If I had been on the fence and had yet to buy a ticket, these additions would get me on board immediately. But hey, that's just me.

I guess he just hasnt had the chance to hear most of these groups. There is some solid talent all through there. I for one as psyched to get to see a good number of these groups. Good friend of mine plays in Roots of Creation, you all should def. check them out. They will kill it. Pretty sure they will be on the campground stage right after JBB gets off the mainstage

Half the fun of a festival is checking out bands you may have never heard of. I love it when I happen across a band I haven't heard before and fall in love. I haven't heard of a lot of these bands, but am definitely looking forward to checking them out. And introducing my daughter to some new music she otherwise would not have thought to listen to. what she said!! my favorite part of festies!!!!

I for one am totally wowed by the adds! While I was fairly certain that this puppy was going to sell out before the additions, I'm absolutely convinced that it will now! They've got everything that anyone could ask for! I admit that I was initially skeptical about the indie/alt route, but now that I know it won't be side-swipe haircuts and dudes wearing their sisters' jeans...I'm all about it!
Glad I got my tix early...all I have to say

One thing I've learned about festival lineup announcements is that 90% of the time they disappoint. Not because the bands that are added are bad, but because we all spend so much time imagining what the perfect lineup would look like. Let's face it, we're on a message board right now talking about an upcoming festival because this shiznit occupies our minds about 23.5 hours each day.
I had my long list of bands I wanted (Grace Potter, MMW, Railroad Earth, Cornmeal, Cold War Kids, etc) and not a single one was an addition. But wherever there's an opening for where the band I wanted to see should have been, there's a band I get to see for the first time. I've learned so many new bands by them being at a fest I was going to. Can't wait to learn more.
As for the new additions, I especially like Drive-By Truckers, Toubab Krewe, Grizzly Bear, She & Him, Jackie Greene, and Jakob Dylan. And I've already discovered Rustic Overtones, The Mallett Brothers, Roots of Creation, and Gypsy Tailwind, all bands I want to see now.
In all I counted about 32 bands I want to see. Now I know I won't see all of them, so how could I not be happy with there being too much music to see?

One thing I've learned about festival lineup announcements is that 90% of the time they disappoint. Not because the bands that are added are bad, but because we all spend so much time imagining what the perfect lineup would look like. This is true. A lot of people build up their own expectations and then wait and wait and wait for additions and when they finally come they feel let down. To be honest....i'm only familiar with a handful of the additions. I'm super excited about seeing a bunch of bands that i've heard amazing things about but haven't had the chance to catch live. Bands like The Brew, The McLovins, Ghostland Observatory, EOTO, the heavy pets......the list goes on and on. I know i'll be leaving this festival with a list of bands that i'll love. That's why I love festivals. I pay the good money for the big acts I know and love.....but because there's so much music going on I get lots of exposure to different acts that I may not have seen on their own.

Updated the 1st page of this thread with all the bands and links to their websites. If anyone knows the two bands who don't have links and want to provide a website or myspace then i'll update them as well.
So close. 61 days.

Per a Facebook post, Roots of Creation will be at 1:15pm on Saturday, the McLovins will immediately follow them, and Toubab Krewe will be at 1:15am Saturday night.

No, it's not a joke. The facebook post was from Frank Chandler, the CEO from Nateva.

It is what it is. In a perfect world Frank would have called me and asked me when each act should play, but that's not how it worked out (at least not this time).
