Ok, so I have a question, but I don't have nearly enough info to make it easy to answer. Back in the 90's I remember there was a "supergroup" of sorts made up of a trio of male acoustic singer/songwriters. They had each had a hit or two, nothing spectacular, and the "supergroup" didn't really make that many waves. I just remember liking it a lot. Anyways, I can't think of any of the names right now, although I'm pretty sure that one of the three did a cover of the song "Anything Anything." The chorus to that song is "I'll give you candy give you diamonds give you pills. I'll give you anything you want, hundred dollar bills..." So, even with Google, I can't figure out when in the 90's that was covered or who covered it. Getting that name might be the first step to answering my question, but it also may be a dead end. Any help is appreciated!

Maybe- The Thorns. Matthew Sweet, Pete Droge, and Shawn Mullens. Not from the '90's though, '03.

That seems right, but I could've sworn there was something with Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge in the 90's... Of course I'm getting old, so I could be completely wrong. Thanks for the help!
