Don't know these guyz, but I just read this and it sounds bad. News ArchivePublished: 2010/06/03
Simone Felice HospitalizedSimone Felice will undergo emergency open-heart surgery as a result of Aortic Stenosis. Felice, who co-founded and played drums in the Felice Brothers, was scheduled to play a mix of solo shows and dates with his band Duke & the King in June and July, including Mountain Jam. All Simone Felice’s June and July shows have been cancelled. A note from his band reads, Hello our beloved friends and fans, We must tell you all, with a heaviness we cannot convey of the news that our dearest brother Simone Felice has been scheduled for emergency open-heart surgery as a result of Aortic Stenosis. The operation will take place tomorrow at Albany Medical Center. We are devastated, yet hopeful that he will pull through. We will not be playing Mountain Jam and all dates for June and July have been cancelled. He loves you all more than you could ever know, so please send all of your thoughts & prayers Simone’s way. We will keep you informed of his condition in the coming days. Love always & forever, _Simi Stone Bobby Bird Nowell Haskins_

Yep, I just read about it on Jambands.com. Guess they won't be playing Nateva this year. Hopefully they'll get a good act to replace them on Friday afternoon and Friday late night.

Simone isn't in the band anymore. He left in 2009. Shouldn't effect their appearance I wouldn't think.

I think his main band is The Duke and the King, who were scheduled to play at MJ. The Felice Bros will still be rocking Nateva! That being said I hope Simone makes a speedy recovery, he's a great musician.

As stated, Simone (and the Duke & The King - his current band) had to cancel appearances. He was sorely missed at mountain jam this past weekend but the good news is that he was successful in surgery and now just needs rest. Great news for the future of this amazing songwriter and performer.
As for The Felice Brothers....they're still on the road. They have a different drummer for the past couple of years and while I'm sure they were worried about their brother Simone....they haven't cancelled shows yet. They will be at Nateva. And thank god.....cuz they are amazing.
