Sure you can. If he is found drinking by authorities and he is your son.... and it's your booze he's drinking, I would think that would be a big problem, ultimately involving bail. That said, if you are of age, you can bring up to 2 cases of beer with you. There is a liquor store a few hundred yards from the venue and you are allowed to come and go.

Wait what is this limit on beer? ?Two cases per person??That is not stated anywhere beside right here right now.....I know how close the store is like really accrossed street for real but you didn't have this listed anywhere in no - no's or rules....This will cause....more time at the entrance to the fest if security is counting beers...More anxiety to fans that are already not feeling the love after the $35 single person entrance fee.....Another rule made as an after thought, not cool....I support this event and very glad it's happening but I want to just party, see music and relax not focus on details that may have gotten over looked. my $.02

C'mon now..... We have never thrown a festival like this before. We have been open about that. There will be growing pains, mistakes and misteps along the way. Does that mean we give up the right to put appropriate guidelines in place later? As for the beer, if there are 3 of you in the car, is 6 cases of beer not enough? At what point do we look at you like a store? Two cases per person should get your party started just fine and as long as security isn't drinking the beer, they should be able to count it real quick. Feel free to cross the street and buy more if your itch for beer hasn't been quenched with the first 24 cans. We don't have theft or vandalism listed on the no-no's page either, and this isn't a game of oooops we caught ya.. this is about people abiding by the rules of common sense more often than not and making sure that this is a fun event for everybody.
My 2 cents and see you in Maine in 21 days!

What's the limit on liquor? Four of us in the mini-van Two beer drinkers and two liquor drinkers. So that 4 cases ( we won't bring that much ) and how much liquor? I'm thinking a half gallon of malabu and home-mixed margaritas with a liter of Don Julio in there.

Sounds like a sweet way to split up the booze. We'll be stopping by your tent for a roostertail.

This thread has caused us to take another look at our beer, wine and liquor rules. Our attorneys have spoken with both the state liquor authorities and with our insurance companies and unfortunately we have had to make some changes to our alcohol policies. Campers will be allowed to bring canned beer in a quantity not to exceed 24 cans per person at the point of entry. There will be no kegs, mini kegs or beer balls allowed at any time. Wine will be allowed in similar quantities provided it's not in a glass container. Hard liquor will not be allowed in any type of container or in any quantity. By the way, it appears that Maine State Liquor Inspectors read this board too, and they all seem to work over the weekend.

Please stop this discussion on a public board. Nobody is going to be counting your beers or tasting the fluids in your containers as you enter the Fairgrounds. Act responsibly with your alcohol, keep it to people 21 years and older and don't bring it in glass containers to the campground and everything will be fine. This is a public forum and all kinds of people monitor it. Just quietly go about your business and nobody will bother you. Just like everything else, it's all about personal preferences. Let's just try to keep those private.
Nobody is looking to confiscate 25 year old scotch from a guy driving in from Canada to celebrate America's Birthday Party with Furthur. Just keep it off the dashboard of your trailer when entering the Fairgrounds. Please go back to discussing the bands now.
