Hey all, Super excited about Nateva. Just one small concern... My trio is stopping at Nateva in the middle of a small "parking lot tour" we're doing of the northeast. We have been using a mini drumkit and one 40-watt battery powered amp to play for audiences during the daytime in parking lots and campgrounds at shows and festivals. However, at Nateva the "No-Nos" section reads: No Electric Instruments. No electric or battery powered instruments will be allowed to be played inside the venue unless it is by the musicians on the stage. We encourage our musically minded community members to bring their acoustic guitars, tambourines and drums, but amplified music is a no-no. Which seems kind of strange in its phrasing. At lots of other festivals it seemed that this rule was enforced for the venue area itself (obviously), but not the camping area. My concern is that the comments on other info pages say something to the effect that any items on the "No-Nos" list will be confiscated by security, and since we're on tour we have no place to stash our instruments while at Nateva. Although we will be disappointed if we aren't allowed to play during the daytime in the campground, it's no problem, but if we need to worry about our instruments taken away for 'safekeeping' we'd like to know ASAP so we can come up with some other options. Thanks, -phil

You can bring you instruments to the party, you just can't play them. Look forward to seeing you in Maine.

What time of the morning are you thinking of playing? Do you want to do a flag raising ceremony on 4th of July? Are you any good?

If you want a flag ceremony i'de be down, it isint too hard to play most militaristic calls because its only first fingering on trumpet. i was in jazz quintet, marching band, and i was also in a ska band for a bit when we could score gigs. i havnt been playing nearly as much but im sure i'll be fine i was born with lips, my pops teaches music =D. tommorow ill try and record some calls and i'll PM you a link to see what ya think. it'd be your call on when you wanna do a wakeup/night time horn but im down with playing any time really. hey maniac, i really hope i can end up doing this so i can make this face as you hear me playing horn.... also maniac i herd you leik mudkips, is this troo?
