I've been listening to jam bands for a number of years, and it amazes me that people like this guy. At the very first glance of him, i knew there was something about him i wouldn't like, then i listened to some of his music and it confirmed what i though, utter crap. I couldn't stand his guitar playing, looping, and whatever "music" he was creating. so the other day i'm driving around, listening to the jam station on sirius, and what do i hear? "Next up is the new one from keller and the keels off their album Thief, covering Crackers teen angst." Oh great, this is gonna be terrible, i'm thinking as the song plays out; just the thing to ruin my nice summer afternoon. Oh, its bluegrass? i didn't know he played bluegrass. this is still gonna suck. what else could i expect from a talentless.....uh..... (this is kinda good)......funny looking.......(wow, they're really tight)......hack.....(holy crap, listen to those harmonies).....hey look, a best buy, maybe i'll go in and see if they got this album. bought the album, listened to it start to finish and i gotta say, i know its only covers, but wow. and the strange thing is, i started listening to his other solo stuff with new ears, and its actually pretty good. His set was one that i was definately not interested in, but now i'm oddly really excited for it. guess it just teaches me to be more open minded i guess. I dont know why im posting this, but i figured some of you may get a kick out of it.

I saw Keller a few years ago on a minifest tour he did with SCI, Umphreys, Franti, New Monsoon, and Yonder. I thought his set was awesome. Then every time I heard him afterwards I couldn't stand it. He annoyed the hell out of me. Then last year I caught him at Rothbury and his set was fantastic. Ever since I've dug everything I hear by him.

Keller Rocks. The first time i heard him,, wow i totaly hated him, i thought he was making fun of certain types of music. It took a bit of listen to his own unq.style to know where he was coming from. And man thats the stuff.......

I like Keller. He's a bit goofy but can also have serious jam out moments. He's all about having a good time and getting people to dance. Some of his songs crack me up too....like Doobie in my Pocket.
I'm really looking forward to his set. Don't know what kind of keller we'll get ......... but looking forward to it

How many times in your life will you get the chance to see someone play the theramin As many times as you go to a festival, since he plays about every festival that is even remotely jam-oriented.
