Again, we gotta follow Proboards TOS on this. Plus the board was founded with the idea of keeping things relatively clean. We'll try to be consistent on things, but there are judgement calls. Again, sorry if that bothers you, but we're doing our best here to run a good board.

Its out of respect. This forum is for all to view, including the younger generation. The mods put these forums together for all us to inform and to be informed about a certain topic. If you cant comply, your warned, then eventually out. Simple. Why is it such a big deal to watch what you say? Its not even what you say...everything here is typed. There should be no excuse when a response is made, you can edit it before you send your response.. and to top it off it makes the sender sound lame and uneducated..

As far as banning goes...I'll let you in on something.
Proboards has MASSIVE security holes. I wouldn't exploit them because I don't have the time, and I really don't have all that much malice towards Nateva...but just know, banning via this software is kind of a joke.

Not that I've had a problem, but... How many freakin' administrators ect. does this thing have? I've never been on a forum with so many. Also they seem to have limited knowledge of the behind the scenes operation of the festie. So what are they and where do they come from? Volunteers of some sort. Again I really have not had a issue but seeing as we're talking censorship I thought it was worth a comment.

As stated in other threads.....mojo and I started building up this free proboards forum as a place for Nateva festival attendees to have some discussion and maybe get some info. We eventually got contacted by people behind the scenes and have recently become the "official" Nateva message board. We hope to have some members of the Nateva staff on here to help answer any questions. Mojo is working on that still. The censorship happens for a few reasons. First off....visitor has complained in multiple threads about multiple things and has been warned to watch his language a few times. The reason why cursing is an issue is because of proboards TOS but also to allow people who may have internet filters that would block this site if they found curses on it. We created this forum based off of the ideas of inforoo and infobury message boards and so we are trying to stick with that. Sorry if you don't like a curse word to be changed to something else. Posts are only deleted if someone feels it's totally necessary. If it's a problem then you're welcome to leave . If you decide to stay.....great! Let's talk Nateva! |

Really? There are too many threads for me to read them all, but if you guys really started this seperate from Nateva and came this far thats pretty grassroots and cool! Were you suprised when you were contacted? I would have been.

But the Nateva people have been pretty open to all sorts of communication with the fans/audience so far so it makes sense. We're just hoping we can keep this place active and informative and stray away from unnecessary drama and stuff like that. |

I hear what your saying, I'm all about a good vibe. But, I think it's natural to talk about the negitive side of things. If you're a reguar show goer it's pretty in your face. That being said the last bunch of shows I've attended have been alot more chill than I've seen in a while. Also I think internet foums are kind of a strange place in that you can't see someones face or here there voice so it is easy to misunderstand peoples intentions. Therfore drama creates itself. I think things like sincerity and sarcasim are lost when typed. Also congrats to you guys for what you have accomplished.
