So my gf and I have an off site camping ticket. We are carpooling and bring two other people that have on site camping and we are pretty much sharing our sleeping quarters. Are me and my gf going to be ejected to the other camping section? or may we share with our friends so we can have a place to sleep? We are only setting up one or two tents.

I saw that you asked this in the Official Q&A thread also, but this has been answered quite a few times. The quick answer is no, you and your girlfriend won't be able to access the onsite camping if you have off-site tickets. My recommendation would be for your group to camp at the Speedway together. With the full-time shuttles, it shouldn't be a big problem. Your friends could probably sell their on-site tickets and save a few bucks by buying off-site with this plan. Otherwise I would plan on arriving separately from your friends if they still want to camp on-site. nateva.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=natevaqa&action=display&thread=344

Mojo, I can't remember where I saw this, but I'm pretty sure on another thread or something that I read that if you are all in the same car, as long as at least 2 of the people in the car have on-site camping then you can camp together. I was wondering if you could clarify or confirm this because my friend and I were planning on meeting up with his friends in RI and riding the rest of the way together. We were planning on only bringing one tent so if this isn't possible we need to alter our plans. The same question has been asked several times, but I haven't really been able to find a definitive answer for our situation.
Thanks.

I don't know where you read that, turtmgurt, but I'm pretty confident in saying that that's not the case. I think you may be mixing up camping rules and the "one person per car" fee rule.
In order to camp in the on-site campground, you need to have an on-site ticket. If 8 people arrive together and 7 of them have on-site and 1 doesn't, that one person can't camp in the on-site campground.
The only important part about the number of people in the car is the "one person in a car" fee of $35. If you're camping on-site and you arrive alone in your car, you have to pay that fee. If you bring someone with you that is not camping on-site, that doesn't count as 2 in a car, and you still have to pay the fee.
I hope this helps! If anyone thinks I'm wrong or I'm missing something let me know, but I'm pretty sure that this is the case.
