Press Pass / Photography

Is there anyone to contact about getting a press pass or photographer pass so that someone with a camera and removable lens can take photos? I have a regular small digital camera but a friend who takes photos for some blogs and school things wanted to know if it's possible to bring in his camera (higher quality with a removable lens).

Some other festivals have press passes and allow his type of camera, just wondering if there's anything like that. Or are those types of cameras just completely not allowed? Any info about this would be appreciated ;D ;D

would also like to know this, plan on bring my digital SLR, just for memory's, hopefully no one will mind.

The fact that it's an SLR shouldn't be the sole defining characteristic, but if security finds you with 17 inch lens and your camera on a tripod, it will likely be an issue. Pack sensibly and conduct yourself the same way and it will be fine. See you n Maine next week.
