So I've been deleting a lot of posts over in the Q&A thread. Trust me, it's not something I like to do. Anyways, I don't think that people have read the rules that are specific for that particular forum. Basically, that board is for Q&A only. If you want to discuss the answers or offer suggestions or whatever, please do it in another part of the forum. I'm going to keep deleting posts that don't follow the Q&A rules. I really hope everyone understands. BTW, these are the rules that the mods instituted, they're not rules that the Nateva higher-ups insisted on. We wanted to show respect to them for taking the time to be here. If you have any questions on any of this, please feel free to PM me. Thanks!

The one thing I've been noticing about this is that the majority of the people who post things that aren't supposed to be in the Q&A forum are new members to Infoteva, not veterans.

Ha, I knew the Jello post would send it over the top. Sorry, but I had to post Cosby. I hope you understand.

Lol, who doesn't love Cosby. I'm really glad that everyone's been pretty cool about me cleaning up that board. I don't want to piss anyone off, but I also really want that board to be as easy to navigate as possible. You all rule!

Can I ask what the reason is for deleting follow up questions in some threads but not in others? Someone else had expressed concerns about some of the things I brought up in a thread over there and that post seems to have disappeared. I didn't think there was anything wrong with any of the questions I asked but between that and receiving some smites I'm wondering if I shouldn't be asking about the apparent change in policy

I didn't think there was anything wrong with any of the questions I asked but between that and receiving some smites I'm wondering if I shouldn't be asking about the apparent change in policy I'm not sure which post you're referring to.....I also posted in your question thread just asking for clarification from Nateva and it also got removed. The Nateva officials have asked us to try and keep it as clean as possible with only the question and answer. There are a few older threads with a couple of responses that got left behind and there are a few that still have some answers from non-officials (but usually we leave those because they are quoting the Nateva Guru). Usually when I delete a post I send a PM to the person who posted it with what they wrote so that they can start a new discussion thread or reply in another. Usually we just try to remove things that aren't new/different questions.....sometimes follow up questions can be just the same sorta thing but worded slightly different. Anyway....I wouldn't worry too much about it. Looks like the Nateva folks have been pretty quiet the past few days (on here and on Facebook) so I assume they're too busy to deal with this stuff. There's nothing wrong with the questions you asked. I honestly don't know why ANYONE would smite others on here.....I've never really taken those karma/reputation things seriously. It's possible it could be other threads that resulted in a lower karma count...but I can pretty much guarantee that the mods or Nateva officials weren't "smiting" you.

Yeah, I've done a lot of deleting, again, primarily to keep the boards clean. I don't usually send out PM's when I delete a post unless it's a brand new user who only has 1 or 2 posts. It has nothing to do with content and everything to do with keeping the board "clean" and keeping that board only a Q&A board. There are a few exceptions to that, and I don't always catch stuff right away, but I do my best to keep that board clean.
As far as smiting, I've never smited anyone, because, seriously, that's pretty weak. So I humbly ask your understanding for deleting posts, and, just for the hell of it, I'll throw some karma your way to make up for the random smiting.

No problem guys, thanks.
Yeah the smiting doesn't bother me at all it just seemed strange as I hadn't posted anything that I'd consider wrong or bad.
I'm going to guess we probably won't be hearing from them anyway, if this fest is anything like other fests I've been a part of they're probably knee deep in crap trying get it together up there.
