I'm going to be camping alone, and yes, I will unfortunately be paying the extra fee, but hey - No backing out now. Any hints or tips on meeting people at a festival to have a good time? I have no problem going it alone on somethings but am worried I might end up lonely as the weekend goes on. Any ideas?! Or do I have nothing to worry about? Also, anything I might need that I may not think of when camping alone?

Sucks you may have to pay the fee.....but when you're in the car line I'd keep my eyes open for any cars with more than 2 people who are nearby and wouldn't mind hopping in your car until you get through the gate.
Anyway, there should be plenty of people you can meet and hang out with. Make friends with your neighbors right away when you park....they may even offer a hand when setting up your campsite. Just introduce yourself and stay friendly.
There's talk of having a "Camp Infoteva" and possibly a meetup/brunch thing though I'm not sure if that will definitely happen. There is a contact list floating around with like 8 or 10 people here on it with phone numbers and emails if you're really lonely...but I think you'll be fine. Festivals are the easiest places to make friends.

You'll probably meet my husband, I swear he talks to every single person at a fest. You'll know because he'll ask you, "if you could shape shift into something, what would it be?" We've met lots of people because of that question, once asked they stick around hoping there are more questions to come, like they're on a game show or something. It's a fun way to meet people.

I dunno if you all can access the RV (w/hook ups) sites once you're in, but if ay can, stop by & say hello! we'll be in a rented 30' class C RV, and we'll prolly have an American flag flying somewhere. it'll say Cruise America or something like that on it. I might even have room for 1 or 2 depending on if my other friends decide to go or not. check the post ya mug for a pic of me & my friends Jeff
