From facebook Nateva Maine"If you come on Thursday or early Friday morning I would try to address it at the gate. You might be able to upgrade your offsite camping to onsite camping for a $20 fee, assuming you enter with an onsite camper who agrees to let you camp in their assigned spot. We are working on this plan now."
A few questions Are they really going to put more people into on-site camping after telling us there was a strict 7000 person limit? If so, how many more are going to be allowed in? Will we end up with 100, 1000, or even 3000 more campers in the space we were told was set aside for only 7000? Could I have 3 friends with off-site camp with me? Or 5? Will those who purchased on-site camping under the impression that we wouldn't be crowded in with more campers than the 7000, going to be allowed to refund tickets? Finally, why would you tell us one thing and then decide to change the rules just because others didn't purchase their on-site tickets when they were available? Allowing those at the gate to decide to let others crowd us as long as they are given extra money seems to be a slap in the face to those who did as you originally asked.

I want this to be true, of a group of friends going I have one who bought her ticket too late and could only get off-site camping. But the rest of us have ample space in our tents for her to stay, but because of this we might all have to go off-site now to stick together. I personally think allowing this would be a great idea...
