I just caught wind that Widespread Panic is one of the headliners! Where you hear that? Would love to have Daft Punk and STS9 in a late night spot if that was at all possible

I would take what you read in responses to articles on jamband websites with a grain of salt unless the person can site some source for their info.

yeah, random people saying things on jambase isn't too strong of a confirmation, especially this early in the game.

So anybody know when to expect a lineup announcement? I'm not on the east coast this year, and I really want to hit this up again, but I want a little something before I commit to the ticket! Even though almost nothing could steer me away...

Even though almost nothing could steer me away... While I am not the official word on this, I would expect something similar to last year. A few phases of the line up most likely will be released to help build some hype. I would bet that the initial announcement will be bigger than the 2 or 3 bands they announced last year as a new event to help sell tickets early on. Maybe the first bands will be released February'ish and then the next rounds a month or so after that..I would not count on a completed lineup for a few months. That being said, you can def. count on Frank and crew putting together a top notch lineup that will make you want to make the journey back to Maine this summer!!

You shall not be disappointed. Now start suggesting bands YOU want, do it here at infoteva or do it on the Nateva facebook page www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Nateva-Music-Camping-Festival/168895629814499. Tell Nateva who you want to see, they will listen!

Thanks Dexxy. I've namedropped em before in this thread, but you should all check out Starf*cker and request em in that thread of the facebook page if you dig their music. They've gotten some requests already, but I feel like they're going to be drowned out by bands already big in the festival circuit and I'd love to see them make it in. They'd be right at home at Nateva. And hey, they're from Portland Oregon, the city 180 degrees from Portland Maine! Check em out again! www.myspace.com/strfkrmusic

Such things have been discussed thousands of times, though possible, i highly doubt that. I love the talking heads like many others but its reality. Do you have the source?

Do you have the source? the only thing I was able to find about this is a bogus post on phantasy tour. I would seriously sell all my belongings and travel anywhere in the world to see talking heads.

I completely understand but i'm bursting the bubble right now for everyone (sadly for myself too) that there will not be a reunion. He's expressed it numerous times that he wants nothing to do with it or the money that follows it and Tina Weymouth feels the same way. The closest you're gonna get is his solo stuff or the Tom Tom Club. Would be dope to have Byrne solo though. But sadly many are too stuck and won't adventure into his material which is very dank.

I too would love to see the Talking Heads again. Unfortunately, Byrne has been a jerk about this for years, and short of kidnapping and brainwashing him, it isn't gonna happen. With so many bands of the era putting aside their differences and getting back together for the fans, you would think that Byrne would put aside his EGO for once and do at least 1 tour, but no...... I saw them on the Stop Making Sense tour, and to this day it is still one of my top 5 concerts of all time. That being said, a Tom Tom Club show would be a lot of fun, and get the crowd dancing, which is something Nateva needs.
My dream lineup:
Grace Potter Lettuce STS9 Derek and Susan MMW Karl Denson Santana Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band Allman Brothers the Wailers/Steel Pulse/Burning Spear Bela Fleck and the Flecktones Steve Martin and his bluegrass band Jamiroquai/Incognito/Brand New Heavies Primus Them Crooked Vultures Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings Gov't Mule/Warren Haynes Neil Young Earth Wind & Fire B-52's Dwight Yoakum/Marty Stuart King Memphis (Maine based hot rockabilly band) Jerks Of Grass ( " " " bluegrass " )
And # 1: The biggest jazz tour of the year, Return To Forever IV, featuring Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke, Lenny White, Bill Connors, and reunited, for the first time in decades, Jean-Luc Ponty. These guys are jazz fusion gods, and jazz gods in general, and this is perfect show for a festival like Nateva, which absolutely needs a jazz presence. According to the Chick Corea website, this tour is only booked through May, and these guys will surely do an extended tour in Europe, So PLEASE Frank, book this show NOW, before it is too late. Trust me, jazz fans will come from afar for this show alone.

Stop Making Sense... Most mind blowing concert video I've ever seen. I would die, to have been alive to witness it live.
