I would really love to see some jazz this year, really was not any to speak of last year. then go to a jazz fest...... I don't know about doing a lot of jazz, but Medeski, Martin, and Wood was one of the best acts I saw at Bonnaroo last year. Would love to see them again.

I'd very much like to see local NH band Truffle there. These guys have been rockin' it for over 25 years and are still going strong. www.gerardtruffle.com/

Whats wrong with jazz? do you not like music? The thing about jazz is that it's a hard sell a a festival like Nateva. Most of the people in attendance are there more for dance friendly acts, and any jazz (barring MMW or soulive or the like, which incorporates a lot of groove and funk elements) would be relegated to a day time set probably in the barn. And lets face it, jazz is best experienced at night in a small club, with people who are really into it. That being said, I would absolutely love if Nateva books MMW this year, and/ or: Charlie Hunter Christian McBride The Bad Plus Dave Fiuczynski Garage a trois John Scofield The collaboration potential there is boundless. Alas, I don't really see that happening outside of jazz fest or jam cruise, but hey you never know.

I'd say... My Morning Jacket Claypool Gillian Welch Justin Townes Earle Levon Helm the Mars Volta and a DJ of some sort, ideally the Chemical Brothers (or even less realistically, Daft Punk), but I'd settle for anyone.. ranging from Theivery Corporation to Bassnectar to even DJ Vadim

The Black Crowes would be an awesome addition to Nateva (too bad that they are on hiatus so its highly unlikely). I would love to see Levon Helm, Old Crow medicine show, and the Allman Bros. It would be awesome to see Furthur or some form of the Dead at Nateva too, I just find they bring the best vibe to a fest. Cant wait til August, its going to be another amazing time in Maine!

Nice. JBT was one of the best acts I caught at Bonnaroo last year.

The Crowes are playing Europe in July before the hiatus, a brief stop in Oxford on their way home would be nice.

7 walkers just announced Thursday at Nateva! On their website they just have that they'll be at Nateva August 4-7, so no guarantee on when exactly they'll be playing. If you have a link that says when they'll be playing, post it, but usually they'll just put down the date of the start of the festival. But good to see some confirmations happening!

No, you are right. I saw it on my phone on facebook. This is all it said. "7 Walkers @ Nateva Music & Camping Festival, Oxford, ME Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 3:00pm Nateva Music & Camping Festival, Oxford, ME" Once you open the link, it says Thursday to Sunday though.

Murphy from STS9 has cancer so there may not be any STS9 this year. Its still in the air since they cancelled all their dates except for 3 festivals. Sorry bout the bad news but also have to bring insight to the possible artist selection. Feel better Murph!!

Sorry bout the bad news but also have to bring insight to the possible artist selection. Feel better Murph!! They only canceled the winter/spring tour. Murph's surgery was successful and if everything goes well they should be back on tour this summer. Plus Nateva is more towards the end of the summer this year, giving Murph plenty of time to rest up and get well. Either way, we all are pulling for his full recovery. Getting back on tour is a complete afterthought. Get well Murph!!!
