What's up Natives, (hey! that could catch on...) Anyways I thought i would start a thread where we can compile a list of bands that we can count out for Nateva to help narrow down the possibilities of which bands we can hope will attend. This being said: Only post bands that you are very sure of that will not be attending followed by your source or where and when you heard it. Ill start it off:
Nateva stated a "No Go" on Facebook for the 2010 festival:
Primus
Les Claypool himself
Disco Biscuits
They mentioned it wouldn't be right to take away from Gotv's headliners as in Primus, and it's totally understandable.
There is many others, but ill leave room for others to reply..

They said they tried to get Modest Mouse but the routing didn't work out..
EDIT: Where did they say no to Bisco? Not that I don't believe you, I just missed it apparently.

Nateva Maine
Clayppol/Primus are headliners for Gathering of the Vibes and it wouldn't be right for us to go after them this year. Jay Lane from Ratdog and Furthur fame, is joining Primus for the Vibes party this year. Vibes has kind of an interesting lineup scheduled and if you have the time and money to catch both festivals - Nateva and Vibes, you should. Hope to catch them both myself.

There is many others, but ill leave room for others to reply.. No primus makes me  but hopefully we'll see an actual Primus tour this year. I'm kicking myself for missing the Tour de Fromage. I'm still shocked they brought Lane back, since he really only played with them for a year. Oh well, Primus is my favorite version of Claypool, and hopefully I get a chance to see them again. |

Nateva Maine Who is going to Mt Jam this year? Levon Helm is appearing with a pretty great line up of friends. I'm a big Levon fan. Too bad we couldn't get him and his band up to Maine this Summer. Guess we'll need to head to Hunter Mountain to kick off the Summer Festival Season!

I didn't really expect them to be added but was still holding out hope........but it's looking like Wilco won't be available for Nateva. They announced their own festival in August and on their official website promote it as the band's "only East Coast performance of the summer".
Oh well. Maybe next year.
Delta Spirit is a small band I requested a lot but they have tour dates on all the days of Nateva.

That's a shame about Wilco. I wasn't expecting to see them either, but they've definitely been one of my bands of the year...
Medeski Martin & Wood don't seem to have any dates between June and September. Am I allowed to be hopeful?

I am very, very hopeful for MMW. We can unfortunately count out Galactic, as they'll be in CO that weekend, and also the New Mastersounds, since they're at High Sierra.

Even though Zach Deputy is at High Sierra the 1st and 2nd, I have my fingers crossed that he'll be there the 3rd and 4th....
