What happened to the Infoteva link on the Nateva website? This is the only place to have intelligent (usually) discussions about Nateva issues and music. Now they don't direct fans/newbies here? WTF?! Facebook is for people with short attention spans, and Twitter is a joke, for numerous reasons. I don't want to read about the bowel movement that someone just had.
What is going on with this festival? Telling campers that they have to leave by 11:00 on Sunday. Raising prices across the board. A huge increase in the cost of RV passes with hookups. Raising prices already, without any mention of bands, changes, improvements, etc. I don't care if some other festivals do this. They have proven to have consistently good lineups. We're not talking about the 10th anniversary of Bonnaroo here. There were issues with logistics, security, and sound last year. Are these issues being addressed/corrected? How about a response from someone other than ITRAINMONKEYS, who in fact sees no evil, hears no evil, and speaks no evil, unless it is directed at someone else on a forum. He has a attitude that needs a serious adjustment, although he is downright charming here compared to his attitude on the Inforoo board. The point is, we should be getting some timely responses from actual members of the promoting/management team, especially with regard to the Sunday night departure issue. Who the hell wants to leave at the same time as 15,000 other people on a 2 lane road leading from nowhere. Trust me, I have been to the Oxford 250 stock car race since the late seventies, and they have had decades of experience attempting to move that many people out onto the road efficiently. To this day, if you don't park on the opposite side of the road from the speedway, and RUN at or near the end of the race, you are going to sit for a very long time without moving an inch. Now picture the Nateva newbs trying to move the same number of vehicles, with far fewer roads/lanes leading out. By 11:00? If they start at 6:00. Maybe. If they are really lucky. I can just imagine the closing bands playing to a nearly empty field of locals and off-site campers. Just like when they started, playing to a handful of drunks in a dive .
I will not spend a dime on this festival until the communication and verification improve. Faith and trust are earned, at least by those who have been around long enough to know. The world is full of people who have lost money based on promises. "Trust me". Yeah, right.
