Here is a place we'll be talking about some of the changes for 2011. I'm not sure what those will be yet (we'll probably learn a lot more on the 7th), but this is a place to talk about the changes for 2011.

Word is that the latenight movies will be back this year... I hope they play them at a stage or at least a cozier place than last year... Came across the set up randomly last year and it was kind of sketchy. As if they threw it together at the last minute, and the audio was barely audible.
The ferris wheel could have been more impressive as well... I might suggest a carousel instead.

There were some last minute logistical issues with the company they booked for the Ferris wheel if I remember right. Something along the lines of them not freaking showing up to Oxford. I am pretty sure they had to scramble and find someone last minute because the original company dropped the ball. Obviously quality suffered. So you want a carosel? Maybe we could get one of these?   |

One thing that I hope changes is the amount of shade in the stage area. I was really glad the weather was so nice last year, but there could have been some kind of misting tents/ shaded canopy areas to hang out in. It got pretty unbearable at some points.

I def agree there needs to be shade and misting tents available because you're right, it was so unbareable at points that we chose to miss some acts/bands because we were so hot and tried to stay cool under our tarps/tents

This is another thing that I know for a fact has been discussed. I don't know if they will go for it this year or not but if you guys feel like this is def something you want I recommend asking for it on Facebook and maybe send them an email. Shade areas ON the music field destroy sight lines so honestly I would not count on that. Misting tents would def. be nice but are a big expense and rely entirely upon it being hot as hell again. |
