Can we really only bring one case of beer per person? I feel that not only is this rediculous as i might want more than 7 beers a day (30 pack over 4 days), but it just seems that this rule is in place to ensure that plenty of 5 dollar magic hats will be sold in the Garden. I want my own beer!

i wouldn't worry too much about this. even if they only let one case in per person, there is a grocery store that sells beer directly across the street from the main entrance to the venue.

Yeah we had no issues walking across the street and picking up more beer. They were totally cool with doing this

Just like last year, as long as people don't make a big public stink about this type of thing there really shouldnt be many issues at the gates. You must remember there are liquor laws and people who watch over those type of things. Last year the issue was made super public by a ton of people yelling at Nateva over the policy and Nateva had to make a public stance on the issue, to protect themselves. So as long as you don't have 15 cases of beer in your car or are obviously trying to vend liquor w/o a license you should be fine. Like some have already mentioned, you have a 5 minute walk max to go get more booze. So worry not! Just be sensible and polite upon entry and you shall be fine. Also you must take into account the contract Nateva has with their vendors, it is hard to convince companies to vend at your event if you have a public policy of allowing people to bring in as MUCH as they want and to take it anywhere on the festival grounds.

Hey everyone. Please remember, on the "Official Nateva Q&A Thread" that these questions are for the official Nateva reps. The mods may answer some simple questions from time to time with a link or official sources, but this isn't a discussion area. This is the one area of the forum that we're going to work to keep very clean, in order to make it easier for the Nateva folks.
I'm going to move this over to the General Nateva Chat. If you want to ask this question again as a question for an official Nateva rep, feel free, but this is more of a question for the board.

Maybe it was implied in the first statement but i didn't know you couldn't bring any type of alcohol at all. Thought it was strange since last year they were pretty cool about it if you had it in a plastic container.

From the website:
"Alcohol. You have to be 21 years old to buy, consume or possess alcohol. It’s the law and you should expect us to enforce it.
Beer and wine brought from home are allowed in the campground areas only. Beer and wine will be available for sale in both the concert and camping areas with proper ID. If you are bringing beer or wine from home please be aware that the limit for canned beer is 1 case per person and wine is limited to 2 gallons per person (remember, no glass). We do not allow kegs or beer balls. Hard liquor will also not be allowed. Please think about this before loading your car with bottles of booze that will be confiscated upon entry."
You can bring in alcohol. There's just a limit as to how much, and you can't bring in hard liquor.

Yeah, hard alcohol is "banned." The same way that certain other things are "banned" at music festivals. Just be smart.
