I know the website says that ticketholders will be camped at the festival grounds until all of the spots are filled, but I thought I read somewhere (Facebook?) that people will be notified when they purchase a ticket if they will be at a satellite campground. Is this correct?
I fully expect to be there nice and early on Thursday so this shouldn't impact me and I fully expect to have my ticket purchased within the next week. But my wife won't know until about a week or two before the festival if she can go. If she can go she will buy her ticket then, and I'm just hoping it won't be a hassle for her to get a bracelet or whatever will show she can camp at the festival grounds with me.
Any help on this is appreciated. Keep up the great work, great lineup, and general all around excitement!

they said on the facebook group board that if you bought a camping ticket, you will be on the camp grounds. when they sell out of those (they havent yet) people will only be able to buy "satellite camping" tickets. so if you already got your camping tix you're good!

Yea if you already bought a ticket for camping your good to camp on-site. The ticket itself will say otherwise and it wont matter what time you get there. All on-site ticket buyers are guaranteed a spot to camp on the grounds. Non on-site ticket holders will be directed accordingly to ensure your spot for on-site is reserved. The ticket cut off point i'm not exactly sure of for on-site, it may be the 15,000 limit, don't know yet. I'd imagine they will notify us when the allotment is getting close to where they will have to offer off-site satellite camping. I'd say we all have a month or so before we have to worry about any of that.

My bad Mojo. I responded to his question and didn't look to see what thread it was in. I was looking in the 100 recent posts and just responded. I've got a lot of answers from Frank and Nateva the past month or so, so i just answered their question that i had received an answer to a while ago from the organizers. You can delete this post once you read it if you want.

yeah...this is definetly a concern for me. I bought a set of tix waaaay in advance, but i know i probably wont be able to make it there until about midnight (plus or minus an hour or two). I just wanted to make sure that, even if I arrive late Thursday, that the onsight camping isnt full. That would not be cool....

And please don't forget the other question I asked. If I buy my ticket soon and therefore am allowed to camp on festival grounds, but my wife gets her ticket the week of the fest, will it be an issue for her to be able to go to our tent and stay with me?
I assume everyone will get a bracelet or something like that to show they can enter the festival camping area. I really don't want to have to track down 40 different people to make sure my wife can come back to my campsite.
Thanks!!!

We will sell onsite camping tickets until we run out of space. We will then post that we are sold out of onsite camping and will begin to sell 'satellite camping' spots at a reduced price. Satellite camping will be a couple of miles from the site and shuttles will be provided for free. It doesn't matter what time, or what day you show up. If you have onsite camping we will camp you onsite. You will know which you are buying before taking your credit card out. All camping passes sold to this point are onsite camping passes. I was camped at a satellite lot last year at GOTV and it worked out just fine. I just wish I had gotten a discount.

One more question re: satellite camping... I have already purchased my ticket (woohoo!) but i'm planning on driving up with a few friends that haven't gotten theirs yet. If by some chance they don't get tickets in time and get tickets for the satellite campground, will they be allowed entry into regular campgrounds in my car? thanks!

This "Satellite Camping" sounds really really sketchy. How many miles away are the satellite sites? Having to travel back and forth seems to be poor planning. How safe is the satellite camping? I really don't want to leave all my gear, food, alcohol, clothing at some unsecured site. How can you have an event and not have the necessary space to hold such an event. 100 acres for 15,000 people. Sounds like people will be standing on top of each other.

I think it's fine but if you find it sketchy you're more than welcome to find another festival to have fun at this summer.

That's a very welcoming message, thanks mr. moderator for telling me basically to piss off. I thought this was a place to ask questions and get answers from so-called Nateva Professionals. Why couldn't you answer my questions instead of being a dink?

Why couldn't you answer my questions instead of being a dink? I wasn't telling you to "piss off". I was simply letting you know that if it seems so "sketchy" and bad then you don't have to attend the festival. I wouldn't go to something that I found to be sketchy or unsafe. It's your right to choose. I didn't answer the questions you have because they have already been answered. You asked: How many miles away are the satellite sites? Having to travel back and forth seems to be poor planning.and a few posts above you that was answered with: Satellite camping will be a couple of miles from the site and shuttles will be provided for free. The only other question I see that you asked was: How safe is the satellite camping?Which I can't answer because I'm not an official Nateva employee and also because it's the first year of the festival. Hopefully that question gets answered soon. For more info about satellite camping check this thread: www.nateva.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=natevaqa&action=display&thread=87Hopefully you join us in July at Oxford. Try and keep the vibes here positive instead of just assuming things will be bad because you don't have all the info.

Try and keep the vibes here positive instead of just assuming things will be bad because you don't have all the info. First of all, a couple of miles is really vague, and could be anything. As for the shuttles, how often do they go to and from the real site to the satellite camps? Second, that link you gave me is very troubling. When looking at the website to purchase a ticket and reading about the camping it says that there will be family camping and then that link states "We will try to set up a part of that site as 'family', but make no guarantees." What kind of bull shiznit is that? Also, that link states that those in the satellite camps are those who didn't purchase there tickets early enough? What? On the site it says first come first serve but those VIP's sites are safe eh? So what is it? Is there a section for family camping? Does it depend on when we purchased our ticket or when we show up that determines where we camp?

First of all, a couple of miles is really vague, and could be anything. As for the shuttles, how often do they go to and from the real site to the satellite camps? You're right. That is a bit vague.....hopefully it's not more than 2 or 3 miles. Also, I just noticed they kinda answered a question about security/safety in the remote sites: One remote site with fencing, security, lighting, toilets and shuttle transportation to and from the venue. There will be a family camping section in the campgrounds. The question asked about family camping in the satellite locations which they have said they are going to try and set up. I assume they worked something out because in a later thread (about Family Camping) the nateva officials stated: To access the Family Area you need to request it upon arrival and you will be directed based on whether you bought on site camping or satellite camping at the time of purchase. To camp in the Family Area you need to have at least one child with you age 16 or under. - from this threadAgain, answered in a few threads.....they are selling on-site camping tickets right now. When the allotted amount of tix for on-site camping sell out....then they will begin selling satellite/remote camping tickets. When you arrive to the fest you will be directed to where you should go based on which ticket you bought. Hopefully I helped answer these questions. If you have any more you can post them here or start a new thread so that Nateva Officials notice a new question.

Relax Folks. Let me start by saying that tickets for the satellite camping hasn't even gone on sale yet. Obviously, we will announce the real details prior to offering those tickets for sale to anybody. Everybody should know what they are buying before they are asked to buy, particularly since we are a new festival without a track record. If you buy your ticket today, or anytime in the near future, you will be camped on site. Go buy your tickets today and this won't be an issue or problem for you. As for space, the Fairgrounds is about 100 acres and we have leased the land that is adjacent to it on the East, the West and the South of the venue. When the camping spots on the 'expanded' venue site have been sold out, we will go to satellite parking a few miles from the venue. Prior to satellite tickets being announced we will announce the nitty gritty details that you will need to make an informed decision for you, your friends and your family. Thank you for considering our festival for your summer plans. Hope to see you in Maine.

Thanks for answering questions! Do you know how many on site camping tickets are for sale and how close are you to those selling out?

We can camp 7,000 on site and we are getting closer to that number everyday. By the way, in my earlier post I mean't to say we had acquired more land on the East, West and North.
