I see it as asking if it is cancelled because there's a question mark in the thread title and the question is asked again in the post.
Sure, it's probably meant to ruffle some feathers but if something like that is going to result in a thread being locked I can't see this place ever attracting a solid, steady membership base.
Now if this place is just going to be about what's happening at the fest in July with no attempt to build the community into something bigger and better during the rest of the year, then it's really not going to be a problem.
Personally, I'd like to see this thing take off and maybe they could put on more than one fest a year up there

I see it as asking if it is cancelled because there's a question mark in the thread title and the question is asked again in the post. I really don't think it was a legitimate question. It was posted by a full-time member of the GOTV forums as a way just to "ruffle some feathers" as you say. A day or two before the post was made, Nateva officials stated that the festival would not be cancelled. It wasn't posted to generate discussion.....it was posted to try and trick people into thinking Nateva was cancelled. It's childish to try and create a rumor like that for no reason. Honestly, there isn't any master plan as to what this forum will turn into. It was literally created when mojo and I were discussing the festival on other forums and wanted a place to specifically discuss Nateva. I'm happy with the amount of posters that have joined up so far and would love for many more to sign up. If this becomes a forum where people stick around during the rest of the year then that's great. If it's not....oh well, more activity when the next festival rolls around. One thing we don't want is people spreading rumors/lies. There's plenty of room for criticism......as long as it's informed and not based off false information. Anyone can be negative (though respectful of others) if they want. We would just prefer positive vibes. That makes two of us. I'm hoping it does good this year and we can see more of it in the future.

As a Connecticut resident, I'm actually really glad that they were able to land Further. Good for them! On a side note, I unfortuantely won't be making the full weekend because I can't volunteer (can't get Wed and Thur from work) like I've done in the past, and I can't afford VIP this year...and there's NO way I'm risking camping in "the alley". Boardie camping would be sweet, but I wont get there until Friday morning and that site will be filled to the brim by the time I get there. So there's the day pass option. I would normally jump on anything that had Further playing, which would mean a Friday pass, but I really like a lot more of the bands playing on Saturday; that day is STACKED! I don't really care about Primus, though, so I'll just have to find something to do during their set It sucks missing Further, but like I said, I'm just glad they were able to land them at all. Definetly adds positive vibes in my book! I wonder if I'll be able to catch any late night with just a day pass....don't know how that will work out, as the website clearly states no latenight with a day pass. Eh, I've seen Deep Bannana countless times starting back in 01 when they used to play at Toad's Place in New Haven, so I guess I won't be missing much...
